These towers have traditionally been built as part of annual festivities in Catalonian towns and cities since the 19th century. In these festivities, several teams, called “colles castelleres”, try to build and dismantle the most impressive towers they can. “Castells” were inscribed in 2010 on the UNESCO’s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Would you like to build those impressive Human Towers? In iCastellers, you can create your own personalized team (“Colla castellera”), with its own name and shirt color.

Unlock towers in the Training mode, and try to build them in the Exhibition mode, where you can score points to be the first ranked team in the leaderboard. And don’t forget to complete all the available achievements! Discover them and compete creating an account in OpenFeint.

Like the “Castellers” motto says: “Strength, balance, courage and common sense!”. Simple gameplay! Tap on the “Colla” leader to order “castellers” climbing up or down, and tilt your device to keep the “castell” balanced.
